I’m reminded of the story of the young man who did everything right and wanted Jesus to tell Him how he could have eternal life. He was like “God, I’ve done things right ever since I was a young man. I’ve followed your rules. I’ve done what you asked.” And Jesus told him “There’s something you lack. Why don’t you take all that you have, sell it and give it to the poor? Then you can be a part of my Kingdom.” lol Poor man went away sad because He had much. And he had done everything he knew to be right! lol But that was just it. It was everything HE KNEW. He was relying on his credibility and expecting to see results as opposed to REALIZING his INABILITY to actually make anything happen at all.
